Spatial development in the Netherlands
The Netherlands is a small but wealthy country with high population densities. The space available offers the Dutch population opportunities for an attractive living and working environment, and in the process of spatial development, the government plays an important role not only in the form of spatial planning but also in the form of policy in numerous other fields. The role of European policy is also becoming increasingly important. Coherent policy, then, is an absolute precondition for the sustainable structuring of the Netherlands.
Future-based research
In order to study the effects of coherent policy, a great deal of future-based research is currently underway. In any such analysis, numerous different models are used and Geodan Next has knowledge of and access to these models and will continue in the future to build up this knowledge infrastructure.
Demand for knowledge in government
The demand for knowledge in the field of geo information within government authorities is constantly changing and expanding. Geodan Next aims to provide the best available geo information knowledge, for primary processes within government. The objective is to contribute in ensuring that these processes run as effectively and efficiently as possible, from policy development through to policy implementation.
