Command and Control System for the Fire Brigade in Gelderland
By order of the Middle Gelderland security region, together with its partners EAL and Nieuwland, Geodan is developing a Command and Control System (CCS) for the fire brigade in this region. The idea is to develop a safer and more efficient system for combating forest fires in the Veluwe hill plateau.

Geodan collaborates with ESRI North East Africa on reconstructing drainage GIS
An old GIS project carried out by Geodan in Egypt recently had its sequel. During the nineties of last century Geodan made a GIS in collaboration with Rijkswaterstaat RIZA [Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management] to be used for the design of underground drainage systems in Egypt. This system was called DrainGIS.

Geodan is participating in the creation of Eurogeonames (EGN), a European internet service for geographical names. Quite a number of topographical and land registry services in various EU countries are making these names and associated attributes directly available.

This summer, Geodan has opened a new office in Spain. In Madrid a small team led by Michiel Zevenbergen focuses primarily on mobile applications of Geodan Movida and geo-marketing activities. This step is part of Geodan's strategy to put Geodan Movida on the map also outside of the Netherlands.

Geodan develops Arrival Time System Incident Management
Geodan Mobile Solutions will be building the Arrival Time system Incident Management (AIM) for the Netherlands Incident Management Foundation (SIMN). This system will automatically determine the time that tow trucks need for arriving at an accident site on the highway.

Geoserver.nl, the portal for online map services, now also offers detailed aerial photos. The file, delivered in cooperation with Beeldportal.nl, covers the Netherlands and has a resolution of 50 centimeter.
