Geodan Salzburg

Geodan Salzburg GmbH started in January 2007. Beside the GIS related services of the Geodan Group, the Geodan Salzburg especially focus on further developments and enterprise applications of Movida, Geodan's real-time spatial awareness platform. Geodan Salzburg will mainly address the german speaking markets of industrial safety, health, tourism, and emergency applications.

The director of the company Dirk Schmidt has more than 10 years of experience in GIS research and business. Beside the close cooperation with the other member companies of the Geodan group, Geodan Salzburg is partner of Z_GIS (Center for GeoInformatics at the Salzburg University). Geodan Salzburg and Z_GIS jointly will setup the "Live Location Lab" (L3), a working environment to develop and test innovations in indoor and outdoor LBS. The lab will also work as a demonstration facility for customers and partners. An ultrawideband (UWB) indoor LBS setting and a GPS-Movida application is already running at the L3 located close to Geodan Salzburg in the Techno-Z building.
