EuroStreets Drive Time Matrix
A Drive Time Matrix (DTM) is a table with travelling times and travelling distances between different locations. You can use it to quickly and easily determine the travelling time without needing a map or routing software. The table can be easily integrated into existing applications or databases.
Content data set
The matrix is a 4-column table: departure-postcode, arrival-postcode, travelling time and travelling duration.The points of departure and arrival for the matrices are the 4-digit postcodes in The Netherlands or the EuroStreets Postcodes (both excluding post office boxes). The road or street network used for calculating the routes is EuroStreets Vector for The Netherlands or EuroStreets Roadnet for the other countries.The Dutch matrix is particularly apt for determining distances over 5 kilometres. The matrix for Western-Europe is apt over 100 km.
Geodan produces two types of drive time matrices: the quickest route or the shortest route by road. The size of the table is around 250 Mb.
Specific application
The DTM is of excellent use for calculating travelling time allowances or for better planning working visits of for example servicemen or salesmen. A useful tool for such analysis can be GeoCatch.
Customised matrices
