Municipality data set of The Netherlands
The most important map layer of the data set ‘The Netherlands by municipality’ is the municipal map of The Netherlands. The municipal map shows the boundaries of all municipalities in The Netherlands. The official name of the municipality and the municipal code determined by the CBS (Statistics Netherlands) is linked to every municipality. At the same time, this data set contains a large number of administrative divisions (municipality - aggregates) and a basic reference set.
Version 2011
The reference date of the current version is January 1, 2011. The number of municipalities has decreased from 430 in 2010 to 418 in 2011.

- Municipal boundaries, provinces, COROP regions, Chamber of Commerce regions, police regions, RPA regions.
Reference map layers:
- Buildings, main roads, major rivers and place points.
