GeoViewer
Clients regularly ask Geodan to develop a GIS application that can be used directly from a CD-Rom or a DVD and for which no installation is required. Geodan can build this kind of applications directly in accordance with the client’s wishes. This will be done using Delphi and the C++ Spatial Component Library of Geodan. The Viewers are developed based on Geodan’s SCL Map Viewer.Not only the content but also the graphical user interface can be designe in consultation with you.
Examples
Among others, Geodan has developed Viewers for the following organisations:
- For KEMA, Geodan has developed the Wind Map Viewer. Policymakers can use the Wind Map in support of their energy policy and project developers can use the Wind Map to quickly obtain a global indication of the yields of their wind park.
- For the Dutch Ondernemers Pers Nederland BV (OPN) Geodan has developed the Supermarket Guide Viewer. This application can be used for clients to have a geographical overview of supermarkets in The Netherlands and carry out a couple of simple analyses.
- For Sinfore, Geodan has developed Sinfore GeoViewer that mainly operates on a data-driven basis. This means that important elements from the reproduction of (thematic) map layers, such as colouring and class boundaries, can be managed through a database to a large extent.
- For A&W Ecologisch Onderzoek BV, Geodan has developed a visualization tool for flora and fauna data, called the EcoMapViewer.
