License conditions

The data producer defines the use conditions. These will therefore vary by dataset. Besides, the data producer will maintain all property rights on the data.

The use conditions mentioned below are general conditions that may differ from a producer’s specific conditions.

Geographical maps are subject to user licenses. In general, licenses must be purchased for every named user or for every installed work area. Copies can be made only for backup purposes.

All prices mentioned on the site are VAT exclusive and also exclude administrative and mailing costs. The company reserves the right to change the price from time to time.

Use of derived products

The images on paper or on the internet are free of rights provided they are not used in an interactive GIS environment and for non-commercial use. However, some producers require to be mentioned.

Price for multiple users and other situations

For its most sold datasets, Geodan applies the following license structure:

1.   In a desktop application

For use in a desktop application like MapInfo Professional or ArcGIS:

The price is per end user and per year. The maintenance price expires.

Images of maps are processed in reports for customers.

The geographical data are encrypted in such a way that they can be accessed only with an application.
