ArcGIS Server is a platform for sharing knowledge based on spatial data and analysis.
Data, analysis and processes are centrally managed, secured and distributed from the server environment. Through services and applications users are offered access to your central GIS or provided with tools for GIS use on location.
By using an open architecture, the end user can build powerful web applications. Think of for example e-commerce, the generation of dynamic route maps or making zoning plans available including planning regulations for citizens.

With this, digital maps, models and processes can be served from the desktop environment to various clients, including desktop, mobile and browser applications, or even company platforms.
