ArcGIS Desktop

For GIS at the office, ESRI has a scalable solution in the form of ArcView, ArcEditor and ArcInfo. These packages have the same base structure with a growing number of functions per package. Each of the three packages is composed of ArcMap for developing your maps and ArcCatalog for managing your geographical files. Complex functions are available through the ArcToolbox, the content of which differs by package.

ArcView

The range of functions in ArcView is so wide that it is sufficient for most GIS applications. With ArcView you can draw or prepare maps, make spatial analyses and define and automate your work processes.

ArcEditor

If you produce geographical data, then maybe you need ArcEditor. The most important difference with ArcView is the possibility to work on one dataset together with other users (multi-user database). Besides, there is also a considerably higher number of editing functions.

ArcInfo

With ArcInfo, you have the widest package of the ArcGIS Desktop series at your disposal. It contains GIS functions for the most complex spatial operations.

Current version
