Geodan Webmapping Services
Access your map(s) through the intranet/internet? Geodan can manage and maintain web based GIS applications for you. Geodan takes charge of the management and maintenance of your application. And there is no need for you to purchase the system, you simply pay a monthly use-based fee: in fact, you lease the desired functionality.
The functionality you wish for
The GIS application you want to have, can be delivered in a customised manner, perfectly in accordance with the functionality you require. The application is developed on the basis of different standard components for displaying and manipulating maps. Based on an inventory of your wishes, we prepare a proposal for the development route. Once the application is built and accepted, Geodan Webmapping Services will take care of managing the application.
The data you wish for
Virtually all geographical data that are standard available at Geodan, can be delivered also in a web application. In this case, you lease the data, which means that you only pay for actual use: you pay for the number of hits (= the number of times a request is made to the mapserver). Geographical data are usually a significant cost item in a geographical information system. By leasing the data, you can avoid major investment costs. The costs are related directly to use and not to a specific user or user group.
Helpdesk and infrastructure
After delivering the application, the application is hosted at Geodan Webmapping Services. Geodan will be responsible for management and maintenance of the application and all components on which the application depends. For questions, you can contact the helpdesk that will deal with them quickly and correctly. In the hosting agreement we sign with you, our obligations in this field are clearly stipulated.
