Large Geodata registries

Everything to maintain order

The tech behind the data

You may not always think about it, but we need a lot of registries to safeguard public order in the Netherlands. What land belongs to which house? And where is the ground contaminated to such a degree that building a school there isn’t an option? This kind of data is stored in registries. Geodan helps develop new registries keeps existing registries up-to-date and viable, from Kadaster to the Atlas Living Environment.

Quick information

Maintaining a large data registry takes time. The information needs to be checked and kept up-to-date constantly. Is everything still in order? Is new data available? Meticulousness and efficiency are of vital importance in this. Because if someone consults a registry, especially someone in the (de)central government, they must be able to rely on the information being correct. Aside from that, the data must be easily accessible to the general public. So: no complicated tools or platforms. In short: making the correct information available in an easily accessible way.

The basis for every registry

Geodan helps build, maintain, and make data registries accessible. We have a number of standard cloud-based building blocks to do this. Our smart search options make sure that users quickly find what they’re looking for. Aside from that, we offer a so-called time travel mechanism; a building block that guarantees that the registry stays up-to-date with the latest (legal) information. Links that allow partners to add their data to the registry are also among our standard options. With a team of specialists, we examine which building blocks suit you best. These will form the basis of your registry.

Intelligent registries

Each registry has other points of attention. One may keep archaeologically important information, while the other lets you record observations of plants and animals. That’s why we also offer custom solutions, in addition to our standard building blocks. We develop handy systems, geared towards the data and the target audience. Whether it’s citizens, government, or companies. We build ready-made products or integrate our application into your own website or system. Aside from that, we host the information safely in the Netherlands, so that data never falls into the wrong hands.
